Christmas Break – First Anniversary January 16, 2011

This first year of marriage to Kevin has been absolutely wonderful! It keeps getting better every day.

We celebrated by spending the night in the same Bed and Breakfast as our honeymoon. This place was fantastic. It was convienent, as it was on our way back home to Florida, and deserted (pun intended – there were lots of desserts!).  A little snack and coffee table all to ourselves!

We, of course, had the best room in the house – the one with the fireplace!

These greeted me when I came in through the door!

We feasted at a local restaurant called the Dillard House.

If you want a taste of traditional south, both in food and in company, this is the place for you! We loved it because of its character and southern charm! We were brought a HUGE all you can eat FEAST. Southern-styled.

A huge amount of food that even Kevin couldn’t eat it all. We had PLENTY of leftovers.

Next we went back to the love shack and did this:

Yay for comfy robes and clean teeth!

Then we explored the house which we had to ourselves, just like last year…

The next morning we said goodbye (mine being quite tearful) and drove southbound.

It was a wonderful break and I was sad to see it end. 😦

But I saved the best part of break for last (although all parts were fabulous!) 🙂 My friend Katie’s wedding! Dum dum da dum!

Stay tuned…

That hotel looks so cute. And the meal is incredible. If Kevin couldn’t eat it all, that is saying something!

The room looks enchanting. Glad all went well in your year of being a bride.
