Overnight Oats July 13, 2011

Posted by frizzybaker in Breakfast.

My name is Megan and I have an addiction to cold oats. The street name is termed “overnight oats” because it is conveniently concocted the night before its use. It can be made in a variety of ways but I am in love with its purest form. This simple recipe is provided for your knowledge – use wisely 😉

Overnight Oats

Servings: one
Prep time: 5 minutes

– 1/2 to 1 cup Rolled Oats I have a voracious appetite in the morning so I made 1 cup of oats
– 1 Tablespoon chia seeds or ground flax seeds
– 3/4 cup milk (or almond/soy milk for vegans)
– 1 ripened, mashed banana
– splash of vanilla

1. Prepare the night before. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and stir together.

*side note: I have used both Chia seeds

and ground flax seeds

and both are equally delicious.

2. Let it sit in the refrigerator over night.

3. Then let the infatuation begin!
